WHO Course on Emerging respiratory viruses, including COVID-19: methods for detection, prevention, response and control
WHO has also advised us of a new course on emerging respiratory viruses, including COVID-19. The course provides a general introduction to COVID-19 and emerging respiratory viruses and is particularly intended for public health professionals, incident managers and personnel working for the UN, international organizations and NGOs. World Rural health conference to go ahead - virtually
After much consideration, the WWPRP Executive have decided that with COVID-19 spreading rapidly, it is not sensible or prudent to have a physical gathering of rural doctors in Dhaka. Doctors are needed by their rural communities now more than ever. Bringing them together, and returning home, risks them being isolated from clinical duties for weeks or even worse, accelerating the spread of the virus to vulnerable rural areas. However Rural WONCA has decided that the conference must go on – but virtually. Read more here.
