​Formed in September 2004 under the auspices of the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia (AFPM). It was initiated by a small group of Primary Care researchers with the aim to promote research. The research group is represented by clinicians and academicians from both public and private sectors. Since then, the group has grown from strength to strength.​​

VISION: To be the national hub for Primary Care Research

MISSION: Promote and support Primary Care Research in Malaysia​

OUR AIMS:​​​

  1. To build research capacity by training primary care researchers.

  2. To facilitate primary care research networking.

  3. To develop and share research resources (bibliography, links to research resources.

  4. To provide a platform for dissemination and collaboration of primary care research.

  5. To generate evidence to enhance primary care research.

Message from the Chair

Dear members,

I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits.

I would like to express my highest gratitude for the trust and confidence you have placed in me as the Chairperson. It is an honour to lead an exceptional team, and your feedback, ideas, and suggestions are always welcome as we continue to shape our future together.

 

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my appreciation to the immediate past Chairperson, Associate Professor Dr Siti Nurkamilla Ramdzan and all past presidents for theircontribution, hard work and sacrifices in leading us to where we are now. Your continuous support is crucial to guide the group to a higher level.

The Malaysian Primary Care Research Group aims to promote and support Primary Care Research in Malaysia. We welcome new members and wish to collaborate with others to continue achieving this aim. Let us move forward with renewed enthusiasm, a commitment to excellence, and a shared sense of purpose. Our journey is not without challenges, but I am confident that together, we will overcome them and achieve remarkable success.
