Part 1 - Conjoint Examination MAFP/icFRACGP

​

The Part 1 Examination of the Conjoint MAFP/icFRACGP Examination is designed to assess candidates' foundational clinical knowledge, clinical reasoning and decision-making skills in Family Medicine and General Practice.

​

The examination consists of two components:

​

1. Applied Knowledge Test (AKT)

The AKT assesses candidates' knowledge and understanding of clinical medicine, evidence-based practice, and the principles of Family Medicine. It evaluates their ability to apply medical knowledge to clinical scenarios commonly encountered in primary care.

​

2. Key Feature Problems (KFP)

The KFP assesses candidates' clinical reasoning, problem-solving and decision-making abilities through clinical case scenarios. It focuses on identifying the key clinical issues, interpreting relevant information, selecting appropriate investigations and determining the most suitable management strategies.

​

Together, the AKT and KFP evaluate candidates' ability to integrate clinical knowledge with practical decision-making, ensuring they have the essential competencies required for safe and effective Family Medicine practice.

Request for Submission Link

Applicants are required to request a personalised OneDrive submission folder prior to submitting their application.

All documents must be uploaded to the designated OneDrive folder provided by the Exam Secretariat.
