Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia

The Constitution of the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia (AFPM) serves as the foundational governing document that outlines the principles, structure, and operational framework of the Academy. It defines the objectives of AFPM in advancing the standards of family medicine, promoting continuous professional development, and upholding ethical and professional conduct among family physicians in Malaysia.

The Constitution sets out provisions relating to membership, governance, roles and responsibilities of office bearers, election procedures, meetings, and decision-making processes. It also establishes guidelines for financial management, amendments, and disciplinary matters to ensure transparency, accountability, and good governance within the Academy.

Through its Constitution, AFPM affirms its commitment to strengthening primary care services, supporting education and research in family medicine, and fostering collaboration with relevant stakeholders locally and internationally, in line with its mission to enhance the health and well-being of the Malaysian population.
