It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Annual Scientific Conference 2027 (ASC 2027) of the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia (AFPM).
Under the theme “The Heart of Healing: Strengthening Fundamentals in Primary Care” and the tagline “Strong Foundations, Better Care,” ASC 2027 seeks to reaffirm the core values and principles that underpin quality primary healthcare. As healthcare continues to evolve, the importance of strong clinical foundations, compassionate care, and lifelong learning remains central to our profession.
This conference will bring together family physicians, healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, and industry partners to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and explore innovations that can enhance patient care and strengthen primary healthcare services.

Dear Colleagues, Distinguished Speakers, Researchers, and Delegates,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Annual Scientific Conference 2027 (ASC 2027) of the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia (AFPM).
The theme of this year's conference, “The Heart of Healing: Strengthening Fundamentals in Primary Care,” serves as a timely reminder of the vital role that primary care plays in promoting health, preventing disease, and providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. As healthcare continues to evolve in response to emerging challenges and advances in medical science, it is essential that we remain grounded in the core principles that define family medicine while embracing innovation and continuous improvement.
The Scientific Committee has worked diligently to develop a programme that is relevant, evidence-based, and reflective of current developments in primary care.
