Part 2 consists of the Clinical Competency Examination (CCE), designed to assess candidates' ability to demonstrate clinical competence in managing a wide range of patient presentations commonly encountered in family medicine and primary care.

The CCE evaluates candidates' clinical reasoning, decision-making, communication skills, consultation techniques, and ability to develop appropriate management plans through clinical scenarios and simulated patient encounters.

The examination focuses on assessing candidates' ability to integrate clinical knowledge with practical skills, deliver safe and effective patient-centred care, and demonstrate the competencies expected of a competent family physician.
